Growing up in the South, especially Appalachia, I spent the better part of my life listening to stories or perfecting my narrative skills. We can't help that we're naturally chatty. With a childhood full of practice, writing chose me more than I chose it. After years of working on my craft, writing has become part of me -- it's the sibling I love to hate but can't function without.
